My fat 160gb diied last week, a day after ordering an e3 flasher. About two years ago I was on kmeaw cfw 3.55

The thing was I was into psn and online, going to the psn store, playing a few rounds of nhl online.2 years later, I really don't care for psn and the only reason that I bought a used ps3 online, solely for cfw psn was the bonus.

funny how things change in a short amount of time, Sony's software has been hacked, I'm sure those desperate for psn will get it back someday via some utillity serialID spoofer or in that area.

In the meantime as someone mentioned earlier, it's going to be fun seeing everyone panic once the hammer drops.

All this is a good move, they know how to mount a nice orchestrated soup opera that will *affect* certain users and eventuallly the angry banned mob will seek for Anonymous help on twitter.

so with all this talk i guess i wont be playing BO2 on cfw lol, but how exactly would they know if your playing a backup game on a cfw ? you know after you do all the stealth stuff and change multiman to another game and etc

Sony can see what you're doing. It's called hash or CRC. If it doesn't match the OFW you get flagged, next time the ps3 boots up it sends that info.

Also hiding multiman under another name doesn't mean anything. You're only fooling your friends list. Similar to the firmware situation, they're things that don't add up tiny bits of information impossible to replicate, that gets flagged and reported back to home base.
