I had the same problem and the only firmware that would install was Kmeaw 3.55. After that I made sure to dehash.

Should I be able to remarry my bluray board on 999, I keep trying to put it into factory service mode with an n900, but doesn't seem to be working

cant find rogero 3.7, ive tried several updates and the only one i can instal is rebug 999

i dont know what ive done, but im stuck on 999. ive tried changing the hdd and tried several ofw/cfw i cant install any others.
i dont have a bluray board remarried yet as thats what i want to get on to 3.55 for. im wondering if thats the problem??

somehow it sounds like a dehashing problem. try toggling the "Debug software update" option under the debug setting. Have you tried installing and running the rebug qa toggle?
if you are still able to install and hopefully run packages you should be still in a safe zone.

i can install packages, but they dont run just black screen.

Sounds like your running out of options. When this happened to me I was still able to run packages so it wasn't that bad. Have you tried the other options in the recovery menu like rebuild database?
If that doesn't help I would recommend sending the rebug team an email at rebug.me to see what can be done in your special case.

dont think i tried that one, i did try a few but im a bit wary in-case i f*** it completely
is it not running apps cause of my bluray problem, or should it still runn the qa and toolbox without (there is one connected just not the right one)

dont really wanna bother rebug, its probably something im either doing or not doing

Honestly not sure. Try sending an email to rebug team and see if they can help since they created that package. let them know everything you done and the specs on your ps3 including trying to remarry.

me too, got a serious headache from too much reading and thinking.
im away this weekend so will leave the thread open for more ideas, before i try rebug

if u get black screen when running packages it maybe ya logic/controll board is bad
i had a ps3 with bad control board and it was on ofw 4.30 and it wouldnt play stuff from psn store
