ok i`ve gone through the ds - wii - xbox 360 as xmas prezzies and have now reached the ps3 , i knew i had to buy one with firmware 3.55 .

ok that done and my aim is to play from external 1tb ...

now sorry

can someone start me off , stage 1 is ?

( is their some sort of protection like the saved xbox drive key or wii nand backup )

after iv`e learnt that i will go from there...

p.s i know google is always your friend but with help you seem to find whats relevant in the tonne of stuff thats out there....

First thing to do with your TB HD is to make sure it is in FAT32 format , if it's not , this site has a prog that can help you. I hope you are using the TB to back up games though :3 hehehe. If it's Firmware to play the latest games , i would recommend going with Rogero is a wise idea , it's pretty simple to do , even an idiot like me can do it so you'll have no problems. I have given up on the 360 long time ago , i got sick of seeing the red rings of death , typical Microsuck , putting out something that's not ready to make more money
Vista for example , nightmare , 7 is cool , 8 i've heard is the same as vista :3

mate your are spot on , xboxes are ****e , flashing for mates for £20 - red ring and you owe them a console.....
windows 7 agree with you brilliant , vista and 8 dreadful , 8 in particular i tried and wont be upgrading to that crap....
so once iv`e formatted my tb to fat32 , whats my next step..

So, basicly you are saying that we should do the work for you, because you can not overcome / bother doing it yourself?

1. In the case of overcome = grow some nuts, and try to progress even just a little, and come with actual questions that you ponder over when reading.
2. GTFO

Jesus man, how rude can people be. We are not your ****ing servants, do some work yourself, its plastered all over what you should do - really, and if you cannot grasp/understand/encapsulate/wrap your head around that small amount of knowledge, you probably shouldn't be softmodding your PS3.

I might sound rude, but no really - you have contributed nothing, you are new here, and expect us to do your work for you "because there is too much for you to bother looking over", who's the rude one here? Really, think about that for a second please, and don't just fend it off. You might learn something here, woopie! :D

Before you do anything go get you a nice sized internal hdd........I got the biggest at the time at 640 gig, you might be able to get a 1tb by now..........you will need it.
