Quick question on E3 Dual boot if I got both flashes already.

I have a great tutorial on how to dual boot OFW CFW and so long as user error like last time dont result, I am confident.

This is not so much help but a question.

I already downgraded to 3.55, then to REBUG 4.21 then back down to 3.55 OFW and back up to 4.31.

I have a working flash of Rebug 4.21 REX
I have a working flash of OFW 4.31

I am currently on OFW 4.31

Do I need to go through the entire downgrade, flash CFW to E3 onboard bios then upgrade again?

Or can I just copy my REBUG 4.21 REX flash to E3 Onboard bios via micro SD?

Then of coarse use a different hard drive (already have one for 4.21 CFW REX)

So basicly this is what I have on hand.
  • PS3 SLIM currently on OFW 4.31 (previously downgraded and QA flagged)
  • PS3 Flash.bin of 4.31 OFW
  • PS3 OFW 4.31 HDD (250GB)
  • PS3 Flash.bin CFW 4.21 REBUG
  • PS3 CFW 4.21 REBUG HDD (1TB)

So just take my REBUG 4.21 Flash, put it on Micro SD, copy to E3 Onboard Flash and then I should be all set right? Since the final part of Dual boot is re updating PS3 Flash to OFW 4.31, the only thing I didnt do was copy my Rebug to E3 Onboard Flash.

NO POWER E3 switch PS3Flash/Onboard-Flash set to Onboard Flash with the Rebug 4.21 HDD, Power On.

NO POWER E3 switch PS3Flash/Onboard-Flash set to PS3-Flash with the OFW 4.31 HDD, Power On.

Now if this is all I need to do, I only have one question.

Once I put my REBUG Flash on the microSD and place it in the E3 Flasher. How do the switches go for flashing onboard E3 flash from MicroSD?

1=up
0=down

010010? or down, up, down, down, up, down?
<---EDITED, I believe this is the correct combo.

PS thanks for all the help on the last thread!

Did they say dual booting was not possible with E3 Flasher? Or just not possible as stock ps3 hardware? I can assure you, it is quite possible to dual boot with the E3 Flasher. Just I am kinda doing it ass backwards.

sorry i meant cant remeber who said you cant dual boot with an E3 even if wire is soldered and a/b is cut. because 4.30 syscon is not patched or something. im no sure. although you can dual boot on 3.55
