Cool Custom Gameboot Logo **TUTORIAL**

This is a tutorial on how to create a custom gameboot logo. It is really easy to do. Here is a preview of my current gameboot logo lookout for it when I boot the game lol

Custom PS3 Gameboot with Tutorial and Download link - YouTube

Update - Quicker to create, logo rotation added and XMB Customize is fixed

Things you will need:

My PS3_Gameboot.zip - http://www.mediafire.com/?dypwbcji05hqoaf

XMB Customize - http://www.mediafire.com/?0czcqg9vj0z24ji

Any image editor that saves in png format - Photoshop is recommended

Start by extracting my PS3_Gameboot.zip to your C: drive and open cmd.exe (command prompt).

In the cmd.exe window type or copy this command

cd C:\PS3_Gameboot

Edit the tex_ps3logo.png in the logo folder with your image editor and save in png format (overwrite). Now copy this command in cmd.exe to compile the rco.

rcomage.exe compile custom_render_plugin.xml C:\PS3_Gameboot\customize\modz\custom_render_plugin.rco --zlib-method default --zlib-level 9 --pack-res zlib --pack-hdr zlib

Once that's done you finaly copy the customize folder to your usb and install using XMB Customize.Which is the pkg from the PS3_gameboot.zip.

**ROTATION**
To rotate your logo you have to edit the custom_render.xml. You just edit the values on line 76 with notepad++. Of course you edit the xml before you compile the rco.

**OPTIONAL**
//There is an option to have an extra start up logo without editing the coldboot.raf. Just edit the tex_scelogo.png and checkout the README.txt for the command"//

Have fun and Enjoy

**RESTORE**

Download - http://www.mediafire.com/?g49azsbz4lqqyzq

Copy the customize folder to your usb and install with XMB Customize to get back to the original gameboot.

Nice work as always @Glowball1

Quick question since I'm not near my PS3 to check.
Are the dimensions of tex_ps3logo.png able to be changed or do they have to be 512x54?
For example, would a user be able to use a 1920x1080 image?

@ opium2k

Thanks . I haven't really tested that way fella (I will though). I got the fulllscreen version by editing the game_ext.rco (psmove images) then edit param.sfo telling the ps3 that it uses the psmove so it loads the images before the starting of the app/game. I can remove the particles and change the background colour now also. After the coloured wave tut I will of course share how. But if fullscreen works in this rco it won't be needed lol.
