Hi I really need some help.

I was on 4.21 rebug where everything was working perfectly but I decided to upgrade my hard drive to 500gb and thats where it all messed up

Ill just keep it short basically Im now on 3.55 DEX and I really need to get back onto the 4.21 dex rebug i was on before.

Everything is working fine on the ps3 but I cant get back to 3.55ofw because the ps3 just shows the pup file is shown in black text and gives the error (80029CCA).

To get my new hard drive to work I had to downgrade from 4.21dex rebug to 3.55.
So anyway being a noob I downgraded to 3.55 dex thinking it would be just like 3.55 kmeavs.

And now I thought of posting before I do something else wrong.

All I want is to get back to 4.21 dex rebug.

you could always just upgrade to ps3 ita 4.21 dex cfw I know it's not rebug but still has all you need.

Did you Factory service mode to get to the dex? Did you make a back up of your 3.55flash before you went to dex with memorydump? if you did all you need to do is flash your 3.55flash.bin back with multiman then don't turn off but go to factory service mode with Crashserious .pkg he released and factory service mode downgrade with Rogero 3.7A back cex then if you plan on upgrading again do a recovery mode to 3.55ofw then go to any CFW cex.

This should work if you still have your 3.55Cex flash you should have backed up before starting any of this...

Just let me know is it even possible for me to get back to 3.55 ofw or 4.21 rebug?

and Donkeypunch can you run all games without disc drive working on that firmware? If yes I wouldn't mind :D

not sure he made a flash as he switched rex to dex and had to downgrade to fix his hdd issue. Although I could be wrong.

follow this TUT http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php...=dex+cex+flash and ur good to go. or u could just use ps3 ITA dex 4.21 cfw which has all u need and is less ball ache than the above method.
