Hey guys I'm new to the forum, and I am making this thread to get your opinions on a mod I plan on doing. Right now my ps3 is extremely loud, I thought it might have been the paste so I opened it up and changed the paste to a good Arctic MX3 paste and also added 2 120mm intake fans at the bottom of the ps3 but it made no change. I was now thinking of removing the internal cooler fan, the turbine one that's there by default and replacing it with a pc case fan. so what do you guys think, it will be much quieter but I want to know whether you think it may have some downsides to it and what I could to make it better.

you could try a water cool mod which would be more effective if you up to it.

Hey yeah I think I would be up to the task but I just don't have the time and extra money to spend at the moment, that is why I was looking at doing the simple mod I mentioned.
