Data transfer Error 80010038 - PS3Hax Network

I have an old ps3 slim that is on OFW 4.31 and I just bought the new ps3 super slim. I updated it because apparently you have to update to do a data transfer.
I powered off both consoles like the on screen tutorial told me to. Hooked up the Ethernet cable connecting directly to both consoles. Turned them on and started the data transfer process. About 8% into it my ps3 comes up with the lovely "An error has occurred. (80010038)" Both systems obviously work fine. I have no problems with either of them. If anyone could help I'd be greatly appreciative.
