Yeah, i'm finally home from work. I just did the following steps: (twice)
1) the bkpps.patch_FIIHEADER_355COREOS.bin renamed to bkpps3.bin 2) formatted the sd-micro card to FAT32 3) copied the bkpps3.bin (from step 1) to root of sd-micro 4) disconnected usb, hdd, controller on PS3 5) all the switches down 6) pressed start to begin flash 7) after 10-12 minutes all the blue lights started flashing <OK> 8) sd-micro card removed from PS3 and put in PC 9) there are 2 files on it: the bkpps3.bin and log file e3flasher 10) I open the log file ---> nothing on it --- empty ?? 11) start up PS3 with HDD connected, the following message: System Update - PS3 ..... Version 3.72 Press the PS... blahblah ????? I thought it was now on version 3.55? But i have the same troubles as before. It seems there is nothing done. Here is a picture from that screen: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?7fq04b6ow61ju79 I'm really not know how to go further... ![]() ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Have anyone suggestions where it could be going wrong? |

hmm..it's always hard not seeing exactly what a guy is doing, what is it doing when u bricked..in a loop or something trying to update? i see it ask for ur "original 3.72" fimrware wich IS installed on ur PS3, so that's ok in away and no RLOD brick..it boots is it the HDD or something?! just guessing.....
anyways... the original file is properly patched and the dumps are valid, if u really restored the 355coreos one renamed back to bkpps3.bin it should give the "connect controller" after normal shutdown-flip switch 6UP-reboot-connect controller-unplug power etc... proof of files and what is what.... bkpps3.patch.FIIHEADER_355COREOS.bin (rename to bkpps3.bin - flash with ALL switches DOWN - when done - power down PS3 normally - flip switch 6UP on flasher - power on PS3 - "Connect controller Press PS" - pull power cable - insert FSM dongle - replug power cable - trigger FSM - USB(enter+ROGERO3.7 pup)- install Rogero 3.7 - USB remove all files, put exit file on root USB - exit FSM - boot ROGERO ) contains only 355 coreos: ros0 = 3.55 OFFSET 5C7A20 ros1 = 3.55 OFFSET CC7A20 Original bkpps3.bin (3.72OFW) ( Flash with e3_downgrade.bin together on SD card - switch 1-5 DOWN 6UP ) contains fimrware 355(old and 3.72 present): ros0 3.55 old firmware OFFSET 1004A0 ros1 3.72 firmware installed on ur PS3 OFFSET 8004D0 Last edited by haz367; 11-26-2012 at 04:39 PM. |

Thank you very much for your detailed explanation Haz367.
![]() When I am at home I immediately start again. Tonight I have tried several things, such as to restore the original bin file. This did not work, but I saw on the error codes that the clip on the NOR chip not good fit. I have to open my PS3 again and start from scratch. Perhaps this could be the cause why the flash not worked this time. I will keep you informed.
