Adding LEDs

Can someone show me or tell me what wire I add the LEDs lights to? I want to make my R and L trigger light up when using the buttons. I plan on drilling a small hole into the R trigger and L trigger then add the lights. But how or where would I wire them to? I tried google but no luck. Only how to install but not the wiring job!

Wouldnt you wire them to the LED indicators? So when your PSP is on, the L+R led's would be on too?

Slightly off topic:
I was thinking the other day of swapping the blue LEDS out of my wii remote into my PS3 pad and the red PS3 pad ones into my second wiiremote

Red and blue wii remotes (for P1 and P2) and a custom blue PS3 pad for the heck of it.

But I'm unsure what solder/wire to use, if any.

I will be following this thread to hopefully pick up some pointers

The lights are very cheap, you get 5 for a dollar. Or maybe better deals but I understand you need the 30 awg wire, you solder the lights onto the wire making two wires. (+) and (-). I thought about adding to my remotes also but I'll hold on that. They still under the warranty.

My psp 3001 been acting up a little and the speaker stopped working but headphones work. It's saying that headphones are plugged in but there isn't any. I tried blowing air into the audio connection but no luck.

So I want to open my psp 3001 look at speakers so while I have it open I thought of adding some lights. I have the drill, solder tool, and my Dad is a contractor so he could help me with wiring but first of all I need to find out how can I wire them? I know you could run a wire to the battery with a few Resistors to stop it from over drawing to much power. ( that would blow out the lights).
But this isn't the way I want to do it. I only want my R and L trigger to light up. I know its not much but having my buttons light up seems kind of hard. I will have to drill a few holes in the R and L trigger.

So does anyone know a way I could attach the lights to my psp? I can complete the trigger buttons myself, I'm not stupid
I would like if the lights come on when I push the triggers buttons but that to much? It won't kill me to have them on ONLY when my psp powers up! I believe these lights can handle only 2.5 V? So you think I could somehow wire them onto the WiFi switch? So when my wifi switch is off my lights go off. By this I mean the citrus board and not really the switch. I mean the switch would control the lights too?

that would only be possible in a simple way if one of the button's contacts are connected with ground or +5V or 3,3V whatever.

example:

Alright thanks, I'll open my psp up soon and see what I'm looking at. I need to order the lights though. I'll buy the wire in store.

* edit*

So I got bored tonight didn't want to keep waiting to see the inside of my psp so here it is.

Now does anyone see a good area for adding the wires?
I looked quickly but first I need to order the 0603 lights and the 30 AWG

Alright guys, no one helped me and disappointed.

( other then Mr.Dutch )

So I tried checking out what works and found a cool one. But Sadly my f**king speakers won't work so I can't make the speakers light up.

When you plug the recharger in the psp sends power to where I have the arrow highlighted. ( that's the re-charger wire )

* hint* P for (+) and N for (-). The black is N and Red is P.
S is for speakers. But not point if they don't work.

But my only question would be, how many volts is it? I tried a xbox 360 remote vibration thing and that worked fine.

I will have my lights in a few days but I might need a resistor.

The problem with my speakers is:

My psp keeps saying headphones are plugged in!!

Read the power supply for output and it will tell you v and ma

What do you need help with a question like this is v noob

If its 5v your going to need 100ohm resistors to power led's if you want it when you trigger I need to know
1 voltage of trigger line
2 type of switch trigger button is some can be modified to use as two

I have never opened a psp so woudnt know these things but again simple electronics
