hi! i have a bricked liteon phat. i've been told that the only way to unbrick it is by rgh. the problem is that i have few knowledge about rgh (i have jf a lot of my friends xbox360). first of all im a little confused about hardware items i need to use because there are a lot of them and dont know which is better than the other. second im willing to spend some cash on buying them because i dont want to buy another xbox360 and i wont to learn ang gain some experience on xbox 360 (been working only on ps3 and the only thing left there is reball service). any suggestion?

is the lpt can be used to rgh xboxs or it is only to do jtag?

you have to dump your nand 3 times and use a program that rebuilt one correct dump from the 3 of them its the absolute way to skip any brick

ok got it. my xbox 360 locked on me before getting the key. so this is one reason more to do it. also all this hardware have to stay on xbox 360 or do i have to remove it? @furtsiv

You can use: Matrix SPI Flasher / J-R Programmer / or NAND-X to read+write the NAND. Then you'll need a glitcher, Matrix comes programmed already or there's Xecuter CR and Squirt too which don't. You can build an LPT flasher, but they're slow and you'd be asking for trouble..

Basically, you need a box on 14719 or under + Glitch chip + flasher.

Flashing the CR, use J-Runner or the software found here for simplicity:

The Matrix flasher won't work with newer software like J-Runner, so it'll mean command line, but it's cheap.

You can remove the flasher after modding, but the glitch chip must stay in each box. Either use QSB's or I solder a CAT6 cable to the mobo and plug into that (saves hassle if they brick). I also use a metal clip onto the AV socket for a solid earth instead of soldering it (use a thicker wire though).

For simplicity, J-R Programmer + CoolRunner +/- QSB's should be all you'd need, and just use J-Runner software. (I don't like the team personally, but their tools are very easy to learn to use)
