Hello Friends.

There are several homebrew tools to resign saves or unlock save. But I believe none of them are truly useful. I have some idea that I like to share. I vision a desktop application much like Game Genie for PS3 but it is different with advance tools plus @flatz 's Decryption/Encryption method.

In the SFO ontents area could be something like this.

Features :

1. The application could read the PS3 Save Folder from your USB Thumb Drive or a Custom folder that is placed anywhere.

2. Able to Resign saves using profile method. Example. Users are able to create a Custom Profile. [Name] [Account Number] [ Account ID] Example : [Batman] [04] [6639826d7a0e39cd]. Users are able to create any number of profile. When a user right click a save and select resign, a dialog box will pop-up asking when Custom Profile would they like to apply on the save. The application could extract save profile and store it in setting file.

3. Now that @flatz have manage to decrypt/encrypt save. There should be a option "Export Decrypted Save Data" when a user right-click. The Application will save the data to a user selected folder. Now the user could edit the save data using any hex editor for cheats. Once that is done. The user now could right-click and simply select "Import Decrypted Save Data". The application encrypts the save with the "Imported data."

4. A folder sync option. With a press of a button, the application make a backup of all the save to a location. Example: Dropbox folder.

@aldostools What are your thoughts on this? You could use your existing application template and create a program. I think you have a program call PARAM.SFO Editor. What if you could incorporate some of the feature in this application? Plus you could also add @flatz 's save tool into for more user friendly Save Data Decryption/Encryption.

Basically PS3 Game Saves Manager is much like Game Genie for PS3 but it is on steroids. Everything is done locally. If this application is made possible, it could also have a cheats editor built-in. We could copy all the existing code of both Game Genie for PS3 [US] and Codefreak [JP] into this application.

5. As more users use this application, the application could maintain a database of :

'Fallback Disc Hash Key' (fallback_disc_hash_key): a constant key used for discless PSN/SEN games.
'Secure File ID' (secure_file_id): per a game file, almost the same for all files of the game, specified by a game developer

For Resigning PS3 Save Data

Step 1 Edit the global.conf and enter your console_id. (Ctrl+H)
Step 2 Click "Set PARAM.SFO as Template" and Select "Configure Profiles" and Pick a Profile from 1 - 5
Step 3 A Dialog Box will appear, Select "PARAM.SFO" from your save.
Step 4 Give a Name For your Profile.
Step 5 Bulit PARAM.SFO from template (Ctrl+B)

For Decrypting/Encrypting PS3 Save Data

Step 1 Edit the global.conf and enter your console_id. (Ctrl+H)
Step 2 Copy a PARAM.SFO with your account_id as template.sfo in the folder of Bruteforce Save Data (Ctrl+T)
Step 3 Scan the folder with the saves (the Key should be listed).
Step 4 If the key is not available, double click on the save and select the EBOOT.ELF to bruteforce the key
(use the scetool commands above to extract the ELF)
Step 5 Once you have the secure_file_id for your game, select the following command in that order:
Step 5a Update Account ID and Copy Parameters
Step 5b Patch SFO: Remove Copy Protection
Step 5c Decrypt PFD
Step 5d Update PFD
Step 5e Encrypt PFD
Step 5f Verify PFD

The buttons are placed in that order... so it is easy to select:
Update Account ID -> Patch SFO -> Decrypt PFD -> Update PFD -> Encrypt PFD -> Verify PFD

Love the idea I hope this will come true , I have Game Genie and like it but I don't like they don't allow us to add any game we want and don't allow us to use advance mode on any save we want.

Thanks guys! I believe it will happen. Have to be patient. I believe Aldo can do it! Just look at PS3 Cheats Editor. What was a bare-bone cheat exporting app, now it has so many features. It is one of the best win app made for PS3. I believe PS3 Game Saves Manager will be next.

I dont think Many People realize all the work the most saves actualy take. ppl think that u can decrypt your save and thats it .. only 20% if not less of saves dont have some kinda Extra protection .. extra protections includes

Compression
Extra Encryption
Checksums
Obscuring
Outside Encryption (meaning not even encrypted using sony key)

and any and all of them can be used togeather.. this is why GG does not put out Everygame need to test and crack every layer before giving it out to the users to play with.. now with this tool you can take the first layer off If its even used (Sony protection) but who here is goin to be the ones cracking the rest of the stuff ???? i dont see this taking anything away from GG but i do see say Detal Coming around to steal this to do something like the GG as well.

but i dont see it goin fully the way it can do to the Kinda dedication that will be needed to keep the save hacking section goin.. i do see this a great killer for Xploder since all it did was resigne the Save to work on your system.. but this is not really a replacer to GG just do to the amount of work that is actualy needed on game saves ..

The application could start off with only resign feature. We could slowly progress step by step once all the basic functions are fulfilled.

I also think that I have a program called PARAM.SFO Editor I haven't had time to test the tools made by flatz. Once I get some free time and a better understanding of how they work, I could make something
