I need some clarification aldo.

If I want to decrypt a save using K.G tool, the save have to listed in "games.conf". Right?

If the save game is not list, I have to use your BruteForceSaveDate Tool right?

Step 1 - Need to Copy the EBOOT.BIN of that game and decrypt it to elf? I trying using SCETOOL but I could not decrypt it. All the keys are in the folder.

scetool.exe --decrpt EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF

No Luck. Please advice.

Step 2 - Once I have decrypted it to EBOOT.ELF, I simply use your tool to "Bruteforce" it and save the secure_file_id key to "games.conf" ?

Step 3 - Copy that games.conf to K.G tool's Folder and decrypt the save?

To decrypt an EBOOT.BIN using scetool.exe use:

scetool.exe -d EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF

If the EBOOT type is NPDRM, you need to provide the KLicensee

scetool.exe -l 12345678901234567890123456789012 -d EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF

Alternatively you can decrypt the EBOOT using the shell extension of my PS3 Tools Collection 2.0.55 (right-click on EBOOT and select "Extract ELF")

The Bruteforce Save Data can decrypt/resign the saves using flatz save tools (no other tool is needed).

Indeed all the options of flatz's pfdtool and sfopatcher are available through the GUI.

You can also use K.G tool if you feel more comfortable with it.

The steps using my tool are:
0- Edit the global.conf and enter your console_id. (Ctrl+H)
1- Copy a PARAM.SFO with your account_id as template.sfo in the folder of Bruteforce Save Data (Ctrl+T)
2- Scan the folder with the saves (the Key should be listed).
3- If the key is not available, double click on the save and select the EBOOT.ELF to bruteforce the key
(use the scetool commands above to extract the ELF)
4- Once you have the secure_file_id for your game, select the following command in that order:
a) Update Account ID and Copy Parameters
b) Patch SFO: Remove Copy Protection
c) Decrypt PFD
d) Update PFD
e) Encrypt PFD
d) Verify PFD

The buttons are placed in that order... so it is easy to select:
Update Account ID -> Patch SFO -> Decrypt PFD -> Update PFD -> Encrypt PFD -> Verify PFD

I tried an existing save that is already in the game.conf. Lollipop Chainsaw BLES01525. I right-click, perform bruteforce. The key appeared in the key column.

Now, I did "Decrypt PFD". I only see that the terminal window displays

pdftool.exe -d "C:\User\XXX\Desktop\New Folder\BLES01525-AUTOSAVE" PAYLOAD

I did all these.
Update Account ID -> Patch SFO -> Decrypt PFD -> Update PFD ->

When I open "payload' in hex editor it is still encrypted.

BUT If I use K.G's tool, I am able to open "payload" decrypted in hex editor.

Are you using the build 1.3.4 ?? That version includes the -g parameter:

pdftool.exe -g BLES01525 -d "C:\User\XXX\Desktop\New Folder\BLES01525-AUTOSAVE" PAYLOAD

Got It!! I love this tool more!!

Wii it be possible for this tool to be Installer based. It wil be great!

A few Feature request
1. Make it into a Installer file like PS3 Cheats Editor.
2. Able to make a Backup save to My Documents "Bruteforce Save Backups". It can be "BLUS1234-AUTOSAVE (Orignal BK 01)"
3. A Save ICON image is displayed beside your Blue Square when user selects each saves.
4. Able to download latest "game.conf" like PS3 Cheats Editor is able to DL latest st.dat
5. Ability to set default Hex Editor. In the bottom left window, once decrypted, the user can right-click and select "Edit Data with Default Editor"
