Hi there ps3hax!

I hope youi can help me.

I have a ps3 fatty that is a japaneese version. The firmware version is 3.5.

I was wondering if it is posible to make this ps3 play pal dvd/blu ray + games.

I assume it is a japaneese version as the buttons are back to front. x o are different to my europeon ps3.

I have never before jailbroken a ps3 so please take it easy.

Is it an easy process? - and would jailbreaking it let it playback my dvd & blu ray collection (PAL) and make the controller buttons europeon configuration?

I didnt know that. I have tried my movies but they will not play as they are PAL. would jailbreaking allow me to play them?

OK, answer my own question time. i have done some more research and it turns out you cannot make a ps3 multi region for movies even after 'jailbreaking'.

I think it would be usful to jailbreak even so, for better video support. This ps3 is on firmware 3.5.0. Can someone kind please link me or run me through a good guide on how to do it. please.

Do I need to upgrade the firmware to a Specific version ? I've never done this before. Many thanks

Some bluray movies are region locked.

Rebug 3.55.2 Rex will give you the option to change the region on your ps3. I'm not sure if it will let you play different region blu rays, but you cam try it.

Jailbreaking your JP PS3 will become an Region free.
Tested 25 PAL&US games on my JP PS3 Fat model CECHL00 80GB Kmeaw 3.55 i also was changed my button to as european version.

yes, i was asked before same your question and someone answer me jailbreaking ps3 will make it Region free. So all you just to do is downgrade your ps3 to rogero 3.55 then QAFlag then your lover CFW. i prefer kmeaw CFW, and now your jp ps3 is region free.

to change execute button just install PKG that called Rogero button changer 3.55 give try Enjoy!!
