Recently, i have decided to open up my, Fat PS3 80 Gig up,
To basically see its guts, And also, so i could get to the Blue Ray,
and do a Lens Cleaning. It was working well as of 1-16-13, but then
It wouldnt read my Ps3 Games. as of Lastnight. So i opened it up,
and cleaned both Lens. And i think... i did something wrong, when i put everything back togather. Because, Now.
It Will Take the disk, but it continues to make the sound as if its still trying to take the Disc in, and after, maybe 3-5 seconds. It stops and nothing Shows up on the XMB under Game. So.. im hoping that someone can tell me what i did wrong, and what to do to fix it, or point me in the right direction.

how did you clean the lense..?
did you check the ribbon cable... its very delicate so be careful with it
it could also be the laser ever thought of this?

Well. I cleaned the lens with an alcohol pad.
But i think it had to do with the pieces that look like
The go in groves on the player the 2 plastic things
On the sides of the of the edge. (When you put the cover on.
It seems as if the plastic peices on top of the plastic cover
Not the metal cover go into those groves.)

well check the lense again if there isnt any dirt or signs of alcohol on it
it must be even clearlier as glasses (if you wear glasses you know what i mean)
im not much known with BD.. did you try the remarry-function in mM?
you might damaged the laser/ribbon cable

does the bd read DVDs/CDs?

check the ribbon cable. also it could be the small plastic disc/clamp ( white disc on top of drive) that holds the disc in place if its out of perfect position you wont read a thing

Okay. I managed to fix everything i recleaned with q-tips and alcohol and dries the lens with q-tips.
When i opened the plastic cover. I noticed on of the plastic arms came off.
And i reattached it and put everything back together
And now everything is working well.
