blu ray drive f/w dump possibility
I know it's been said before but...
I know there's a bd drive that reads ps3 disc, has anyone compared it with the ps3's bd drive firmware & I'd try it but i don't have the knowledge . I heard it's possible to dump the ps3 bd f/w, but is it possible to flash it, & what would be the worst case scenario if I could pull it off. ( besides killing a ps3 ) I believe that if we could compile Exact 1:1 copies ( images ) that may be a step in the right direction. Also, has anyone tried to burn an iso on bluray yet? |

you can copy 1:1 copie always
the protection consists in media that is produced by sony, and can't be ussualy reproduced, or isn't produced in that way... so the problem is to write a 1:1 copy (dead sectors? twin sectors?) and that bar code area? that's firstand second every driver on the market has it's own firmware, and the ps3 one can even have it'd own protocol since it is made especially for ps3, unlike xbox witch is jsut a modded PC... you can burn an iso on a bluray, but it work becasue of differences of media from snys discks and simple bluray-R etc To dump the firmware you need some kernel acccces AKA the same acces the update application has,,,
