Battle of Britain: Sony and LG 4K TVs hit the UK!

Sony and LG have both just released some of the biggest boobtubes in history, with each company touting humungous 84-inch 4K Super High Definition televisions. While the huge televisions both sport massive resolutions, they’ll both command an equally big price tag – but the good news is that they’re both coming to the UK for the first time.

Sony’s XBR 4K display commands a 3,840×2,160 resolution, almost four times bigger than 1080p, but the television itself isn’t alone with the $24,999 (£15,600) price tag. Paying that premium also grants you an Xperia Tablet S to act as a remote control, as well as a media server loaded with some 4K UHD movies that make the absolute most of the beastly resolution – including the new Total Recall movie.

I will never pay that much for a TV even if it woke me up with a blow job every morning.

Is that a gambit for a bidding war?

I'll do it for £10,000 as long as you're old and nearly dead.

@baargle

Well I'm old..........

Seriously though, the most I've ever paid for a TV was £1500 for my current Samsung 55" 3D
I did want a projector but the wife objected. Anything for an easy life!

I use my Nintendo gametablet to act as a remote control for my TV.... does that count also

Ok, 10 inch bigger as my 70" Sharp and a better resolution..... nope, not worth the 25K update for about 5 years
