Okay I'm getting paid tomorrow so it's time for me to start thinking about downgrading my PS3. It's a Slim CECH-2002B which means it's downgradeable and all that good stuff. Is the E3 the best way to go? I've watched an installation tutorial for an E3 in a fat PS3, is a slim any more complicated? I'm not great with soldering but I'm totally capable of all the flashing and downgrading and everything. Can I use a PSP to enter factory service mode still? I did a bit of jailbreaking back when Geohot's work was the hot stuff so I used my PSP back then and I'd like to use that now if it's possible just to save a bit of money. I don't think there are any other important questions I'm forgetting to ask, right? Thanks :D

I live kinda in the middle of nowhere so it'll cost a fortune to mail my console off. It's much more fun to do it myself anyway :] I've stuck xk3s in 360s without any trouble so I've got some experience tinkering with the guts of a console.
