That is normal. New clips need to be worked in and is why so many have problems.

On that model, what I do is wrap 2 nickels in duct tape (side by side, not on top of each other). I seat the clip the best I can I put lots of pressure to try and get it on. I put my thumb on the back of the mobo opposite the nor chip. Press them together real hard, it will hurt your thumbs, so much pressure.
Then I put scotch tape over the clip. 2 to cover the clip and 1 more to cover where the ribbon comes out of the clip.
Put more pressure on the clip like before. and get the tape down good.
Now take a piece of duct tape and put it over the clip.
Do the pressure thing again, but this time instead of your thumb, put the bottom of the screwdriver on top of the clip. With your thumb on the back of the mobo put pressure with the screwdriver on the center of the clip, hard and yell aarrrrrrrhhhhhhhh. Crease the tape down around the clip.
Now put the the nickels you wrapped with duct tape on top the clip (make sure it is even, the middle of the nickels should be on the center of the clip) and tape down with a piece of scotch tape.

Put the mobo back together carefully, not to move the nickels off the clip.
all the mobo metal piece and all the screws.

Now you will get a good dump, first try.

I have to do this with that model everytime.
