For those on 2.30 you dont even have to use ps3 proxy, simply try putting the debug 2.20 update on USB it should allow you to update to it, as it did for me, but I messed up, I was using a single hd now Im 2.35 now,so I think you can use the swap trick in theory
Excitement got the better of me lol

I put the 2.20 Dev on my 40GB 2.10 PS3
It worked fine After 2 Days playin* around with that System Software, I decided to change the internal 40GB with a 250 GB 2,5" Sata. After swapping the HDD, System boots with Errormessage about System Software. It wants to reinstall the the Retail 2.20. I tried to insert the Debug Installer, but the PS3 doesn´t recognize. Any Ideas how to get this Dev FW restored on my System? |

try putting back in the 40 GB HDD? if that dont work maybe do the swap trick again

Hi,
I have a question. I want to install the debug fw on my retail PS3. If the debug fw is installed, can you install the original fw?  Hope you understand me.

Unless you're a Dev then there is no point in installing it.
