Hello, i just successfully downgraded my PS3 and i don't want to mess up as it took me alot of time to get the clip working corectly + unbricking and reflashing again...

So now i want to Dehash Qa flag method seems like the easiest to me;

Install and run QA-toggle and make sure it beeps if you just get a blank screen and nothing happens then you have a faulty bdvd and you cannot do this step. try re-marry bdvd found in the main post then try this step again. to check you are QA flagged Set your cursor on Network Settings and press the key combo (all at the same time):L1 + L2 + L3 (press left stick) + R1 + R2 + dpad_down if you are QA flagged a new option will show up right below network settings Power off console Put unpatched official firmware (e.g. 3.55) on USB Mass Storage device as /PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP and insert in PS3 Boot into Recovery Menu: press and hold power button you get 1 beep then a wait then a second beep then the ps3 turns off press and hold power button again you get 1 beep then 2 beeps let go of power button select "6. System Update" to reinstall firmware. If installation finishes without error (there will be no logs you can check!) and boots XMB OK, then dehashing was successful. Congrats, you now finished downgrading and dehashing. Console runs 3.55 and any firmware of choice can be installed, no longer needing to be patched for downgrader.

Is there another dehashing method i can consider before doing the Qa flag method ?


Ok so after i am done dehashing, what CFW do i need to instal first ?

What i want to instal is;

-Rogero v4.30 ver 2.03.
-multiMAN/stealthMAN 04.14.04 Released.

Do i need to instal anything before instaling those ?



Any suggestion, Tips or anything that could be usefull for me ?
What is the best custom firmware at the moment and should i instal that version of multiman or another one ?

I also want to know if i have to block somehow the the FW Update from Game Disc as i will be using the one i have right now which have a pretty recent firmware and i don't want to do something wrong there.

Yah, sorry i am a NOOB. I am just afraid to Brick again as i would probably just throw my PS3 out the window after all the time i took to downgrade with all the problem i had.

Just make sure qa flag is toggled on with the button combo, before installing ofw3.55 from recovery. Then install 4.30cfw from xmb.

I installed 3.55 and im now on XMB but i still have Toggle QA installed, do i need to remove it ? I did the combo key and it's showing extra option still.

Yeah, I was thinking about this today as I finished downgrading my slim with the new Olimex AVR USB 162 I got. The L1, L2, L3, R1, R2 and Down on Dpad button combo still worked on 3.55 OFW (even after formatting the hard drive so toggle_qa was not installed). I went back to KMEAW 3.55 and installed/ran toggle_qa again to disable it (button combo no longer doing anything). Next back to 3.55 OFW with button combo not doing anything.
I'm not recommending anyone do this, I was just testing out of curiosity.

I don't think you've downgraded to run OFW 3.55, so I guess it's okay to leave the button combo active.

Ok so i will leave Toggle_QA installed and from there i will instal Rogero 4.30 v2.03 from XMB

If i brick later on will my OFW 4.31 Dump still be good ? Or should i make a OFW 3.55 Dump or there is a tool to convert my 4.31 Dump into a 3.55 one ?

if you De hashed successfully you can delete the QA toggle.
if you need to De Hash again you can install it again :-)
