Replacing HDDs in a Rebug Rex ps3

I have a ancient 40gb ps3 with a broken blu-ray drive that I recently installed Rex onto. will I have any issues replacing the hard drive or will this bugger **** up.

you have to downgrade to 3.55 first before you change hard drive.

if your target ID = CEX

just install 4.21 REX

but if your target ID = DEX

you must install DEX Firmware (Use 3.55 Downgrader DEX or 4.21 DEX)
