Hello,

I am trying to play Medal Of Honor Warfighter on my CFW PS3. I am not signed onto PSN. I only sign in to sync my trophies. When I try to play the game it says to update and download the latest patch, the patch is 208mb if I download it do I need to be signed onto PSN? I'm scared that it signs me in and installs the update which Sony can tell I'm playing a backup game.

No you dont need to be signed in to PSN to download an update patch.

Thanks for the fast response! Also is there any possible chance I might get banned for downloading game updates?

No idea. Shouldnt do.

I run 3.55 KMEAW, and if i want to update i just do so and resign for 3.55.

My PSN is turned off on that machine, but updating works fine.

You could always manually update through an update finder: http://yifan.lu/psn/ enter the game ID (BLUS123456) and look for the update you want, then download and instal as a PKG.
