Me. Despite the fact that I'm boycooting Sony because I a pissed with them, the most important factor for making PS3 the last ever Playstation product I would purchase ever is the direction they follow in video gaming (with best example the recent release of PSVita) which I find rather bleak, wow-factor-lacking and nothing I am used of Playstation as a brand and what is used to deliver to the market. So with other words, no because I don't like Sony's new direction in video gaming and I feel that it has nothing to offer me other than possibly a couple of great momments that won't exceed a week and the hardware will end up collecting dust the same month I'll buy it which was apparently the same issue with alot of people and PSVita, there is nothing that will resurrect their interest in that device.

i think it wont die right away as some people wont waste there money right away untill it drops down a bit. but in the end the ps3 will die and to be honest hopefully the ps4 scene is better as this scene isnt much to talk about as it is. maybe if people tryed to help more and shared information then it would last longer, but i feel it will only happen once its dieing to keep people interested but it will be too late, shame really but a well lol

Should stay alive for a couple years, but after a while, make it both PS3 and PS4...

A half of the world is still playing PS2, and that half is not in crisis, so they will have a PS3 soon.

The other half have PS3, but is in crisis, so they will keep playing PS3 for a couple of years.

So, in one or two years all the world will be playing PS3.

The only Sony PS console that could die its PS4.

the thing is you cant say what will happen on the basis of votes.
only time will tell what it will be
but its good to see what people want and this may lead to interest homebrew devs to live in the scene for a longer time

in my opinion devs must keep working on ps3 and open the code to the very end
and then when Orbis or PS4 has his 3 or 4 years they can open a new Snece ,this ps3 snece is been very hard to follow with angry devs ,rage quit the snece with their personal problems ,problems with Homebrews like a PS1 ,N64 emulators and the ability to delete trophys without destrying our savefiles and we still stuck with 3.55 jailbreak if we get YLOD and buy a new Ps3 it means goodbye to Homebrews and the Snece in general.So imagine how dificult it will be to follow the next generation Snece

Yeah the ps3 scene is dead ,

Before you all say no and that the ps2 ans xbox i still alive know that they are dead too.

why, well their are no new cfw just some homebrew from time to time.

and for the Ps3 it is the same.... Come on it still stuck on 3.55, 3.56 based keys.

they already released the master key and still..

Now if i were to walk into and store and buy a brand new ps3 and just plug in a usb with out the hhd swap or any tricks and install my homebrew and be done i would say that is is still alive but sadly no

expand ps3hax to ps3-4hax as soon as hacks are available for ps4, but until then, ps3hax will go strong im sure
