but pc emu is beyond ****ty! not all games work right and there is no more the most important factor of the ps2 : The controller! no vibration an no analog sticks makes the playthrough ****ty in any game.

so is there ANY other way? I already have the ps2 and the 40gb ps3 and am willing to do whatever to make the ps3 play the ps2 games.

nah youd get like 0.1 fps

even on my pc (core 2 quad 2.4ghz, 4gb ddr800, geforce 8800gs and vista x64) its really slow and thats with all optimizations, including SSEs 1,2 and 3 and using all 4 cores

Why would you install a Windows Emulator and a PS2 Emualtor, there is a Linux version of PCSX2,but even with that as RichB93 said it would be painfully slow.

backups

opening the consol is somthing most people will not do. like myself i have a ps2 that is modded and runs backups without swap magic or a chip but i woulkd like to see the same thing working on a ps3. the method i use is free mc boot and ESR Public beta. heres a vid of anouther person doing this YouTube - Free MCBoot 1.4 Booting ESR (Memento) DVDVideo PS2 Backup. basically if there a way of getting this programe to work on a ps3 or can a program like it be made as you can use ulauch on a ps3 but loading ESR on under DVD player or trying to boot it through free mc boot does not seem to have any effect
