If you can get MKV files to show up in WMP let me know, I get them to show up the show up as 0sec and don't play for me using showtime. That is what makes me still use universal media server.

Thank you, I have tried different codec packs. Nothing, I don't know if windows 7 just doesn't like MKV. But you would think in 2013 it would.

No, you still need UMS/PS3MS as there are still a lot of videofiles which cannot be handled (due to not being able to decode them fast enough), or if the file has DTS (at least all I get is loud screetches when trying to play a DTS file through Showtime..

But it's still the best mediaplayer for the PS3, as there really is no other.. except the build in mediaplayer ofcourse..
