You know many games with lan. Your kids can play against each other on your own home network ? I have 4 ps3s on mine & all 4 can be used in Black ops II with 4 people all through the house, any game that supports lan works just fine.

I tried telling everyone long ago over a year agp .Sony logs your text chats ,games you play , your WEP KEY! from your home Network ! The name of your network ,the games that crash or when your PS3 crashes it debug settings it has crash report = tun it off ,it is automatically sending your PS3 crash data to sony & so much more i can not even describe. Turn off a setting that has to do with your network connecting to PSN it is in there i forget the option you can turn off . Something when your PS3 sets up your PS3 IP it will not try & connect to PSN during that process.

Sony has violated everyone who has owned a PS3 privacy since day 1 .I believe this was a big reason why they went after GeoHot but the thing is stupid judges & other people who could have inspected this could have caught Sony in violation of privacy laws . They log your movies ,how many times you watch them ,much same ,you name it they log it !

I do much more than play with games .I want to see what sony is logging when i use my PS3 so i go through tons of files & open them to find any hints of my activities & have found things i do in so may files i was disgusted & never log in to PSN again. Especially they logged my personal wireless WEP KEY i use to get on my network & my networks names. That really pissed me off .That right there they should be brought to court & be sued but no they are sony the untouchable in court & can get away with anything they want cause they make movies & games = FK SONY ! Your network key can be found in your Xreg file along with your email & password for your PSN accounts in plain view.

If you have a clean PS3 & log in to a account that had discussions through test messaging not normal messaging text inviting & chats .Thy restore all the conversations back to every ps3 you sign in with that account you had them text chats !

I was running peer guardian 2 years ago on my PC & it was showing Sony Entertainment was trying to connect to my PC & Peer Guardian was blocking the request & they keep trying literally did not stop trying to connect it was consistent trying to get through to my home network & i was not even logged in to PSN on my PS3 nor my PS3 was turned on ! They were trying to connect to my PC = which would be my network. What does this tell you about SONY ? They are the scum of the earth & should not be trusted . I am annoyed people are so blind to not bring sony to court on privacy law violation.

If you have created a PSN account & used it to log in on your how network. Sony has been port scanning your computers on your network & everything else you have on the network with a IP / Mac address since then day. Run peer guardian i bet nothing has changed & you will see sony entertainment getting blocked..


I would run peer guardian all the time ,when you are on your PC believe me sony is trying to monitor your network just because you connected to them on your PS3. Block the IP addresses that show up . Add them to a block list in your router. You can also enable IP logging in most routers to see a logs of connections, or use a network analyzer. yes sony are major THIEVES of the highest order but they are untouchable because they have so much money nothing can be done about it, just checked the playstation website, i can log in fine, phew, have a lot to loose if get banned so i won't touch my ps3 till next year, i don't care because i have my wii u and pc to play so it's not so bad tbh.

at least microsoft have some decency to give you access to content that you have paid for, sony on the other have rendered your ps3 useless and STEAL all of your content that you have rightly paid for i hope that anyone who has been account and console banned goes to a small claims court and gets a refund on everything that you have paid for plus compensation for the console that sony have REMOTELY vandalised (your property), i know i will be doing the same if i got banned and i will not stop until i get results, sony won't be stealing off me that is for sure.

If everyone will be truly aware of risks of sensitive data/private data most of them will unplug the LAN cable or internet cable cord and try to avoid any type of *contact* with the internet.

It's not only Sony (and nope im not defending sony on this one) but personal data, etc when you enter the interwebz you know the risks and they take for granted that you know the rules of this *game*.

So the ones *unbanning* themselves they are sending more results to Sony HQ than they need (and have). It's like using ONE key to open 10 doors at the same time or in fact use ONE key that opens those 10 for a little while, then you are ****ed.
Even being OFW like you said or indeed owning a Sony product you are more exposed than you think.

i haven't tried, some say it works. not that big of a deal to me. i might do it after the holidays. is this a console ban because i thought a console ban had an error code and not just said your banned or suspended.
