Can a PS3 slim 3002b 4.31 be jailbroken with a True Blue USB Dongle (JB2)?
I have a ps3 slim, version 4.31 and model number CECH-3002b (one of the older ones).
I've tried looking for ways to downgrade to 3.55 but it just can't be done on my PS3, so alternatively, I found "True Blue USB Dongle (JB2)" which is said to be able to jailbreak any ps3 so long as the version is above like, 3.41 or something, I essentially just want to be able to play pirated games and store them on an external harddrive as to not take up space on my PS3 system. So, questions I'd like answered: - Is the True Blue Dongle all it says to be, and is there anything I missed or got wrong? - If so, where can I buy one? Either online (preferably cheap..) or close to Brisbane, QLD. - Once I have the dongle, what do I do with it? Do I need to install any packages to it? - Will I need to downgrade my ps3 for this to work? - What are the consequences, not the legal side, just "no online play etc" Thanks guys, please be as informative as you can, |

And True Blue is 3.55 only, it needs a TB CFW to work... And a rip off anyway....

So basically, I'm gonna have to buy another PS3? One of the real old ones.. -.-
What's the latest PS3 version that can be jailbroken at home without the dongle? And if I just buy a cheap PS3 with the smallest harddrive, can I put the games on an external harddrive? |

I have found another PS3 on eBay, the seller is unsure of the model number, but it is the new ps3 with version 3.55 and True Blue dongle included..
Should I get it? |

The newer models (CECH-3000 and CECH-4000 Super Slim) does not come with 3.55 neither can be downgraded. True Blue is useless.
If you really want a hackable console, you should look for a FAT console or Slim CECH-2000/2500.
