Need help updating

My psp's software is currently modded and updated to 3.52 M33 and I want to be able to update it to so I can play games that require 5.50. How can I go about this?

the latest most stable cfw is at 6.60 now. Just use Google as your friend.

I followed that guide step by step. My psp won't update on it's own it gives me an error every time I go to install the update. I've tried everything the guide said multiple times now but to no avail.

More info needed than that, psp version, error message etc. the only problem I could see here if you take all steps correctly was a version.txt spoof not allowing you to update because the psp thinks its already on higher firmware.

The sticker on the bottom says -PSP1001. Whenever I go to update the error says "Unable to start game" (DADADADADADADA). I've tried updating without a game in it and nothing has worked so far. I've tried using the built-in update function and the one in the memory stick created from the firmware I put in there according to the guide and I get the same error one way or another.

Try looking at this as I have not come across the error before, now I can't vouch for the website or the fix so you use the info at your own risk but anyways....

Removed link because of questionable legitimacy, google the error and a few fixes come up.

I think the site questions your link's legitimacy.

the dadadada error is an old dax error preventing unwanted/accidental ofw updates... you can avoid this by using hellcats recovery flasher and installing 6.20 ofw - then update to 6.60 and cfw yourself!

Haha no I removed it after looking it over, didn't want to send you somewhere that I didn't have 100% faith in.
