Help with ps3 3.41 Jailbreak updating
Hello Guys, first, sorry for my bad english, my case is:
my ps3 was on 3.41 using ps3break dongle, I didnt know first, but he was one ps3 downgraded to 3.41 when I tried to update to 3.55 in recovery mode the ps3 say that I have to use 3.56 or newest firmware in order to fix that I made a HUGE MISTAKE: retired the HD from ps3 and formated on my PC, and now my ps3 dont have any XMB working the question is: how to fix this ? I already tried to use the modified 3.41 fw without sucess ps: now I know that I have to use de dongle to enter in service mode and downgrade to 3.5 or older fw and then upgrade to OFW and after any other 3.55 CFW |

 let me try this simple question: its possible to enter service mode without any xmb running ? (my HD is formated) I am trying to enter service mode with a ps3break dongle, without sucess so far, if I manage to get in service mode the rest of downgrade process is very easy |

You prbly formatted it in NTFS, if thats the case reformat so its Fat32.
Also when blank hdd is put into ps3 it should auto format it to ps3 specs when ps3 is powered on. @BlackBurNbr

What modified 3.41 fw did you use? Please provide the md5 of the pup you used. |

u are correct , u have to get into service mode and downgrade to a lower fw , never update to a higher fw in service mode only a lower fw eg 3.40
never go lower than your factory fw . search ps3break dongle service mode in google and u should find somethink about putting the dongle to the mode for service mode is this the dongle u got  or have u got version 1.2

Hi friend,
i got this 1.1 but he is damaged I think the good news: Problem Solved, and PS3 already in rogero 4.30 v2.03 !!!! What I did ? purchased one ps3break v1.2 from my friend (cheap), with the 1.2 I managed to get in service mode and downgrade to 3.41 OFW, after that I cant do it the same process to 3.55 OFW, but with the rogero 4.30 worked and now my PS3 is all good hehehehe will install the new multiman and test some games ps: the BD still works fine, running original games |
