Hello all. So, im brand new here. and will probably be pretty active here... as much as i can. i just got a Phat PS3 80 Gig. for Free. a few weeks ago. I had already Jailbroken it, but hadnt put any Firmware or anything on it.

My little Cousin was playing on it. and I wasnt home. and, He played. Blackops Online, so you know what that means. He updated it to 4.31.

So, now. my question is. is there a way to get back to 3.55, without Soldering or anything, i have model CECH 01. I dont wanna take it apart, as im afraid i wont get it back together. I have fixed my 360, by taking the CPU/GPU out, and reapplying Thermal paste to fix, RROD. but, the ps3 seems alot more complex then a 360.

Should i just wait and see if anyone comes out with something that will downgrade? Advice please.

first beat the shit out of your cousin and then look for a downgrade service nearby, cause else you will have to take it apart and solder a hardware flasher to the mainboard.
