a debug unit... scratch that... Dev kit costs 7500€ so don't expect many people to have one available at a discount.

erm i have like £800-1000 its not much but im sure theres one i can get in that price range i dont care if its scratched i can get that fixed. i think thats in the reigion of $1998 if its £1000

The scratches are just one thing. It will lower it about $1. If it is not too much trouble why do you want one?

Quite a few reasons,
A, I want to run backups
B, i want to make use of the debuging tools
C, im going into the gaming industry within the next 2 years so i want to get a general feel on how a debuging unit works
D, i think it would look damn good by my hd tv
E, cant be arsed to wait for homebrew to come out prefer to have the real deal on my desk.

A) Why can't you be patient?
b) Are you familiar with the "dev language"?
c)That's a long time from now again why can't you be patient?

A) wrong reason for wanting one but your looking in the correct price range so thats a start. (about 900-1000)

B) which ones in particular? - you can download the Cell SDK and begin from there

C) Get yourself on a Gaming course and they will have the debugging units there. Play all you want while getting a degree.

D) It will look exactly and I mean exactly the same as a Retail would look on a TV. (besides a few extra icons on XMB)

E) ummm well unless you get the machine and code something you would have to wait anyway.

Somethings you seem to have forgotten like how would you get updates. Whomever you get your machine from also strike a deal for updates and documentation.
