fan working slowly

hi

after repairing an ylod and changing thermal paste,
it seems the fan doesn't work well,
ps3 temperature is climbing but the fan doesn't react.

i do a "stress test" (switch off/on+eject) to see if the fan goes to the max powering, and it work well...

an idea please...

question:
i have two identical motherboard

the first is " bricked " and the second " ylod"

is it possible to swap
.the spansion memory (same model),
.the bluray drive
.the hdd

from the ps3 "ylod" to the "bricked" mainboard ps3.

can this work?

Just give the fan full power at all times, might wear your fan motor out quicker but it will cool the PS3 more efficiently.

Thank the idea, but I don't want a noisy fan

I think, I have to heat the mobo anymore, more longer...
if after I have always the same pb, i do a swap parts
onto the mobos.

the spansion is flashed in 3.15 ofw

Put a switch on, to manually adjust it. Kinda like a light dimmer switch.
