Accidental Update
Hi all, a complete noob here and just hoping someone can help. My Grandson updated my ps3 the other day and now i have no access to any cfw. I realise i've probably got to get it flashed again but Rogero is still visible on the start screen and i also have multiman and my ftp program visible on the xmb. When i try to start multiman i get error 80010017 and thats it. My question is have i definetly got to get it reflashed or does anyone know of a workaround due to still having multiman visible. I also have the apps/home/ps3game folder visible but again it is not accessible. Any help would be much appreciated.

I think once you have updated to ofw from cfw homebrew is still visible and just not functional.

yes, they are visible but not accessible, just greyed out and when selected error messages pop up

You should give more details such as:
Rogero version multiman version...stealth or unstealth I don't have Rogero but it your PS3 got updated to an OFW you wouldn't see Rogero's coldboot on startup....just the PS3 logo. Multiman would still be installed and any other app you installed until you've deleted it.

thought i say that 4.31 ofw dont have a cold boot , soi if a ps3 was updated from cfw to 4.31 ofw the cold boot would never been updated so it would of kept the cold boot from the fw it was eg Rogero cfw . ive check this my self as ive extracted dev_flash from ofw 4.31. also another member from ps3hax said this too

Try and reinstall Rogero 4.30 v2.03, from the recovery menu.

It is OFW and he needs to buy a flasher.
The Coldboot will still be visible because the PS3 Update does not normally contain a coldboot file.
