i have like a ton of ps2 games in my addict
so they need to make all ps3 compatible with ps2 games
( Cuz my phat 60gb is dying to many miles )

the best game i played ever was a ps2 game ,yes it was dragon quest 8
but now pcsx is better than playing it on the ps2 because resolution is 1080p

Precisely. There's a new console from Sony coming out soon. When PS3 was about to come out, the original PlayStation production stopped. Now, when the PS4 is about to come out, the console 2 generations before has had it's production stopped.

Ps3 is awesome dont get me wrong. It just never had that "WOW" factor that PS2 had for its time. As I say that I get a little depressed because I realise that I may never get to experience the wow factor again in consoles the way they are heading

I completely agree, man. For me PS2 was and still is the greatest gaming device ever. My chipped launch fatty is still going strong for almost 12 years now and I have never experienced any problems with it so far. I still occasionally play on it

I will never forget opening the cardboard box of my ps2 for the first time when it was released all those years ago... the amount of hours iv dedicated to it

I wonder if the ps3 will survive as long or longer than the ps2?

I bet just cos Sony has stop production of the PS2 console, it does'nt mean Sony will stop production of other PS2 devices. Ther is a TV out with a built in PS2, I bet Sony continues to sell that.

i like alle my 2-3 ps2 since 2000 but i will miss them. because all my 3 ps3 cannont play ps2 disk with out the cobradick.. and will never but it...
Hope sony starts to make the ps3 backwards soon, soo we can injoy are old ps2 games on the ps3 when when we cut not have run Linux on it no more after fw3.21, not talking about dls downlod but the ps2 disk i paid 4, before the rool ps4 out on the market... R.I.P ps2
