![]() & update your other thread! i havent come across a single beep and shut down before if its been opened in the past then i suppose its possible the ribon connector for the power eject board is not in propperly and vibration from the bdvd drive is enough to move this cable just enough to short the power traces and so the ps3 thinks the power button has been pressed. if its on cfw and this is a back up game then it could be anything with it working anyway for a while then it should be fixable. first thing i'd do is strip it. clean it up propperly. change the heat transfer paste and carefully build it back up checking every connector as i went for anything faulty. if it is just a loose connector then cleaning and re-building could solve it. does it do the same fault while watching a dvd? |

@mattg99999
Thats a ylod pre sign, buy it for 25$ take it to a computer repair store local and find one that can do a reball on it. Its usually a 60$ cost but fixes the ps3 permenatly cause Sony used cheap paste and solder, the reball will change out the solder for the right kind and they should put on top of line thermal paste. Got mine reballed locally for 35$ and asked what paste they use and was told arctic silver....can't get any better then that for the ps3 ^_^ If you wont buy it, I will gladly buy it for 25$ ^_^ thats a steal :-) especially for a easy fix :-) bro ^__
