you cant jb 4.31. only if your ps3 was below 3.56 with hardware flasher.

it the serial number on the back of the ps3. if the system is 3k or 4k you can't jailbreak it .

it depends on some following thing that you should have

a ps3 with between 1000x to 2000x model number because they use lv0,metlrdv1
all the 3000x model uses these keys but they are different compare to those mentioned keys above

if you accidently updated your ps3 to 4.31 and your model number is between the mentioned above if yes?
then go buy a e3 downgrader it can help you downgrading to 3.55cfw
if that doesnt worek then go buy a flasher then go to the thread 4.31ofw to 4.31cfw

it requires a sharp mind lolz
to go through the process if you are new to scene then itll be a lot harder to you to get through the process i might warn you if you dont know non about the scene and how the things works then dont do the process u might end up bricking your console
