Upgrading hard drive on a downgraded ps3
PS3 Slim DYN was downgraded to 3.55.
Then upgraded to rogero Rogero_CEX_4.30_v2.05_PS3UPDAT.PUP via the SYSTEM update menu option on the xmb toggled the QA flag off. Then I put in a 1Tb hdd to upgrade his ps3. It said no system files found please insert on a flash stick, start and select together etc. So i put the same Rogero_CEX_4.30_v2.05_PS3UPDAT.PUP file on USB and did update. Console boots up and give a dark blue screen now!! Any ideas on where to go from here? I have valid dump from 4.30 pre downgrading and I also took another dump after the downgrade to 3.55. What is the right move from here? Thanks in advance guys! |

the console stays on? if you use hdmi cable try put the scart cable and see if tv shows anything

is this the same one you issues downgrading it? i am asking just to know if you fix it.

Hey everyone,
So this ps3 got fixed by flashing the downgrade patched file onto the ps3 witht the bigger hdd attched. That got it to the screen where it says please connect contoller. Followed the rest of playerkp420s guide and I was good to go. @BwE . - thanks  @3absiso - that other thread is for a different ps3. Still no luck with that one |
