Which Modchip is best to work in a Version 3 PS2
Hi fellas,I was given a version 3 Playstation 2 by a mate of mine and i had 2x spare Modchips knocking about.A Modbo 4.0 and a Modbo 745 but neither will work in this console properly.The Modbo 4.0 would show the " Matrix Logo " on boot up and i could load and play original game disks but none of my PS2 & PS1 backups would load at all.The Modbo 745 just wouldn't show the Logo on bootup what so ever.
I've been reading loads of websites and most forum threads i've read have stated that the Matrix Modchips work best in versions 1,2 & 3 consoles,IF this is true then i'll defo order a few Matrix chips but just need anyone to clarify that the Matrix Modchip will work in a version 3 PS2. Thank you so much for any help from you guys

Nahhhhh,i defo don't want to softmod it,sarah1331.I actually do enjoy a bit of soldering and tinkering about with these machines ( got 2x phat silver PS2's already modchipped,one with a Modbo 760 and the other with a Super 7 E17 Modchip fitted lol ) so this version 3 i defo want to fit a modchip into it

Modbo 5 is out which enables you to run games from usb similar to freemcboot
