Unfortunately I don't feel your frustration as I myself have been on cfw since the first few days of the original jailbreak, but you have to understand the answers you receive here are fact and if you could use any other method to downgrade other than hardware you would be told how to do so.

You are well past the time where an easy way existed.

A good way I explane to customers Is

When we modify a firmware package we call it cfw

The only way a ps3 will let you install a modified update is if your on 3.55 as later firmwares check if the update has been modified
