Psssst! Get a ProgSkeet v1.1 'Crystal Blue' if you can!

They are like rocking horse sh1t, so if you see one for sale, grab it buddy! The v1.1's WORK, and they do both NAND and NOR flash.

For now, STAY AWAY FROM THE v1.2!!!!

You can get solderless clips for connecting to the NAND chips and the such like but they are not very reliable. People then end up having to solder. Also bear in mind that for PS3 NAND based motherboards there are no easy test pads to solder your wires from a programmer to.

Help is here if you need it of course but at the end of the day you will be doing the hands-on work. If you DO end up messing things up, you can always send your PS3 off to some of the forum members here to do it for you (at a cost of course), so consider that as your cushion / get out of gaol free card.

i was able to solder ps3 nand to usb drive to avoid hard pads to solder
now i get diffirent dumps..
when desoldering nand from motherboard i shorted all nand pins like this:

i have two questions
1-is shorting nands pads is bad(the ps3 is off)
2-if it was bad connections can dumps be diffirent or we cannot dump anything at all?

1) That is OK. That is one way to remove ICs from a circuit board. Better to use a hot-air gun, but like I said, there is nothing wrong with that. To then tidy up you will need solder-wick to remove excess solder left over from using that method. The pins on the removed IC will also need excess solder removing.

2) If bad connections, either a pin not connecting properly or adjacent pins shorted, then yes a dump can still be made BUT it won't be valid. You can dump many times and compare dumps and they will match and thing appear 'OK' but you will be comparing rubbish to rubbish, hence when you make a dump CHECK IT using the dump checking thread. DO THIS OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PS3!!!

Yep I flood with solder to remove clean them up place on my PCB plenty of flux and drag my iron over the legs until all are joined

Ok im going to try and find a place to buy a Progskeet 1.1 board and il see what I can do from there.

Also Do I need any additional hardware to use injectus?

I might be intrested but I first need to find a place to get the a 1.1 Progskeet that isint sold out. Also what does your board do? is it like a preset board so you dont have to reprogram?
