What model number is your PS3? Model no of my ps3 is cech 3008 b OFW 4.11
Is it possible to jailbreak it in ANY WAY???

Cuz there are threads that are available to downgrade the ps3 but i noticed cech 30xx series is not supported with Flashers...

Can you help me with these:
1) Can i Jailbreak?
2) If so how?
3) With flasher?? Which one?
4) If flasher then where to buy from?

i have read many posts ... its been 30 mins, read 7 threads but none were clear about if 30xx can jailbreak AT ALL or not?

Sorry, there's actually no way to downgrade 3k models. And if you can't downgrade, then you can't jailbreak you ps3. You are on OFW 4.11. What you want is to be on OFW 3.55 so you can install a CFW. But because your ps3 is CECH 3008b, you can't downgrade. The problem here is that 3k models came with a higher firmware than 3.55 when you bought it

Yes, that is the only option you have right now. However, if you really want a jailbroken ps3, you can search ebay for a used ps3 with maybe a bluray fault. They are easy to repair and really really cheap if won through an auction. I had a friend who bought one for as low as 50$ (lower than an e3 flasher!) and the only problem is we found a paper in the bluray drive.. So yeah, a free repair ! And a 50$ ps3 that was already on 3.55. Knowing it cost me around 100$ for jailbreaking mine, it is a good deal. You'll have your current ps3 for online gaming and the other one for homebrews. Without the risk of bricking your actual system for less then many had paid.

Oh, and I know you want to jailbreak for getting your games for free, but please try to avoid talking about piracy on the forums.

i can understand everyone who jbs his system to play backups

since they(me too) dont have much money and dont want to pay 50-60€ for a new game...?

i know when i was younger and when i(+my cousins) had a modded ps1 i bought always a game for 5-7€... i paid the half and my cousins paid the half... we copied the original disc to 2 CDs and i/my cousins got a game for 3€

yup why would you pay to buy new games when there is a way that is cheap? most of us are here because we want to hack our console to play back-ups...

I'm sorry but I can't accept that, by definition I'm a pirate just like yourself but I'm labeled such for downloading roms that are 30 years old, leeching your whole life and giving nothing back AT ALL really isn't acceptable.

If someone steals the latest games then fine, whatever, but don't make excuses for it.

Are games expensive? Yes
Does that give you reason to have it for free? hell no, at least try to work for it.

Anyway I only quoted it because the guy seemed upset that he would actually have to pay for games, yes, welcome to the real world.

Hey no need to tar everybody with the same brush, a backup is exactly that, a BACKUP of something you own, not something you sold or borrowed something you purchased.
