And yes we need a new *breed* of potential devs. We have awesome devs don't get me wrong but some new *blood* is good for the scene hence if scene have more devs or people trying to code we can solve certain problems with more efficacy and speed.

I hope next gen teams will share more infos and don't fap on what they did. So giving you the infos how the big ones does their **** is the most important thing you can get IMHO. It is far too late now. It had to be done earlier and this shouldn't happen on the next gen teams. Let me try. Since PS3 is my first console hacking scene I had horrible times. People and the wiki tend to give false information which wasted alot time and no information is better than giving false information on purpose. Not fully knowing and giving false information happens but those people gave me false information on purpose in the hopes I never finish my goal.

If you guys want to know something about myself and I am alot to explain you my time of the ps3 scene, let me introduce to you... I try to keep things short.

First I bought a PS3 pretty late and played LBP and investigated about the hacking status of the console. Nearly no information. The first FIFO hack came I installed Linux and played around with it and read through the nouveau project. It was decision time. If PS3 hacking starts to make result do I want to be part of it?

I was in several hacking scenes (never a console hacking scene)... Don't google it you find no information I was in underground scenes. Really underground. It's decided and psjailbreak came out. I startet to understand how the hack works and played around with payloads of mine. Then geohot and fail0verflow presentation came. For me was sure what will happen. Geohot will get sued and to get free will even sell all people names for his freedome. You guys have to know one thing about hacking. If you are not a security consultant and do that as your job. The best thing you can do is stay anonym. Look at xbox releases always a team never a person. If a person of a certain team get sued, he just does the infrastructure handling for the team and there is not much discussion. I was shocked that those arrogant people go there and show the public that's me look what I have done. It's like a robber knock on your door. I robbed you last night. That's the main reason why I don't want to be a public puppet. I don't need any eFame I got a well job and get alot reputation there. There is no need to compare online dicks. So from the bottom of my heart. If you want todo hacking it is a great hobby and very challanging, but don't do it to get fame. You are at the wrong place.

So let me explain how the time in the PS3 scene goes on. Those big devs threated me as the biggest noob you can ever imagine. So I was very mad and nearly decided to don't do anything around the PS3 scene. I didn't got any breakthrough or so since that time but noone wants to be threated like that and it is simply not fair and I got quite a hacking experience so it was at a wrong place too. After that the first 3.55 CFW came out. I investigated alone and let those big ones do what they do. Graf released his "coolstuff" the badest thing he could do for his personal life. It wasn't hero like it was plain dumb, I guess he realises now. There were other ways to get this out as latest releases showed (CEX2DEX and LV0 Keys).

My mind just goes oh oh and it came how it had to come. Public puppets go down and the scene is called nearly dead. Yeah who couldn't predict that must be an idiot. Hacking never was a public topic.

Snowydew asked for a C/C++ developer to port some stuff. I answered and came to him to port the stuff just for fun. Plain luck if I look back. I was in TeaM_AC1D and portet the stuff in several hours down for him. Wasn't that hard really easy to port stuff that you already got as code and I'm a professional software engineer after all. Snowydew now does something I am very thankful to him that he did that. He pushed my internal reputation quite fast. Under the devs I'm no noob anymore (I never was but they are so arrogant you wouldn't belive). The time when I met cfwprophet and MK. Both wanted me to investigate on a certain algorithm. So I investigated and got quite some help from the public. Without them it wouldn't be possible and naehrwert helped me with some handy tips. I was near to finish the stuff and people start to give me somehow useless to false information and sometimes very good information to shut my mouth if I'm done with the stuff. Since it was crucial stuff I never would write KDSBest under it after all and in the end I didn't released it (another one did that). To finish the project I wanted to be able to debug SPU code to make certain things alot easier. That's why SPU emulator was started. I took alook at anergistic and IMHO it sucks. Working with gdb is pain in the ass after all. Just because it is nerdy to use doesn't make it well. People have to understand that. I created my own one and tried to make a useable UI. I know it is not the best UI and from time to time somehow buggy but was okay to use and works for my purpose. I worked hard on that thing and did it with no help at all. You have to be sorry for not perfect UI. I still got a job and putting me one the pc after working 8-10 hours on the PC for money is not that easy belive it or not. So the thing was done and I can tag KDSBest under it. It's not illegal to write an open source emulator on public docs of IBM. Things and projects past by we are here now. Year 2012 is done. There is nearly no thing open in the PS3 except some stuff I am not interested in it. What should I do?

I give you the information most devs get prayed to like gods. It is for a software engineer not too hard to understand and if you get used to it pretty easy so why putting those people on the throne. That's one of many things the scene just did wrong. If you give a girl too much attention you get in the friend zone. In my opinion no cfw or any release will match with the thing I try todo. I live a hackers heart information for everyone and free. And I provide you that. I don't ask for donations, I got no advertising or so on my blog. So it really is free. You can ask around except little exceptions where I was in a bad mood, I always treat people nice and try to help them no matter how noob their question is. Just because someone around 18-20 or so starts with software development and didn't start as a youngster like me gives me totaly no right to put me on top of them. NO it certainly does not. Back to topic, instead of trying to make you guys hail me like a god, I try to help you understand the stuff and try to form reverse engineers hackers. Helping you getting your goals on your own is an honor for me and just awesome. I get great really great feedback from my reversing series. There is no better feeling than helping people and belive me if all your so godlike devs had more sharing in their heart we wouldn't have DRM dongles and we had everything faster. All I can say is all hater and people that claim I didn't do anything for this scene. I can say I teach others stuff and try to make them understand and that is the best gift and release I can offer in my name. It is in my opinion the best initiative we can do. I wish someone did it for me (there are helpful devs too don't get me wrong). If you take the offer and try to form a new generation it is up to you. The none console scenes I was in always had such kind of stuff and nearly never put themselfs on positions and claim it is for others unreachable. The feeling is in the PS3 scene unique and that is one of many reasons why other scenes look down on us. This scene just has a wiki which is full of false information and pretty hard to get used to because it is unstructured. If you know what you search you can go there has some great information too, but if you are new you are pretty much lost. And to all those lovers of devs. You got no clue what happens behind the line. Some dev had a great release claim all his work. Math comes in who has skill for sure. Who to belive? I don't know but this kind of things are pathetic and totaly commercial like pushing of people. Falling for that is sad. Ignoring the whole case would have lead to stop such actions. Great hackers will try to stay anonym. Hacking is an underground job.

PS: I don't know if I retire from console hacking after the PS3 era is gone.

Great text, your posture reminded me of a theory I have... that certain activities/professions should be limited to a specific kind of character. A doctor, a professor, a policeman... should require a strict selection process, without a base of character, a individual gift or a calling if you may... you may get a butcher, a snob or a thug in a uniform for Christ sake! The same goes for a hacking scene, when you get biased people involved... what was originally a prosperous underground activity becames a DRM'd flamboyant circus!
