GT5 2.11 on CFW 4.30
I've been reading and reading to get my favourite racing simulator working.
I've managed to get the game updated to 2.11 and installed the socalled update fix for 2.11. What's happening now is the game starts, but keeps saving data, looping. I've tried with the original game, with the academy version. I've tried updating through multiman, and updating through pkg's. I have no luck, just keeps "saving data".. Hope someone has had the same problems, but with more skills

Don't what it could be other than maybe a corrupted save file.
I have the academy version myself updated to 2.11 and it runs without a hitch.

So it should be able to run, eventhough i'm at 4.30 rebug? Since the update fix states 3.55

You could try creating a new player profile on the ps3 and run the game from there. If it works you'll know that it has something to do with the other save file.

If you're on 4.30 CFW, you don't need the fix.
 Delete all GT5 game data from the XMB Make a backup of your GT5 save Install GT5 OFW updates 1.05~2.11 (no CFW fix needed) Profit

Exactly, you don't need fixes for 4.xx CFW. Just re-download v2.11 and re-install it. I don't think you need to delete game data.
If you do delete game data, make sure you reinstall all updates not just 2.11.
