[vatomalo]

Ive recently got a mac, and i have never had one before, so you can call me a noob. Ive managed to setup Homebrew just fine(not homebrew, but an alternative to macports, for those that did not know)

i run toolchain.sh just fine but when its going to make it exits with this error

ld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/opt/local/lib'
ld: library not found for -lcrt1.o
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [make_self] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2
../scripts/008-psl1ght.sh: Failed.

Ive made the directory /opt/local/lib.....
no go there.....
Is it related to x11?

I have installed both the alternative x11 and xquartz (-lcrt1.o(libcrt.o?))

Please any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you so much, but i have followed it, line to line....
it was this tutorial that got me here....

please if you have any other advice?

i now chmod 777 to opt/local/lib/

and i no longer get the ld: warning: directory not found for option '-L/opt/local/lib'

but still getting ld: library not found for -lcrt1.o

It says that libraries are in usr/lib , i will have to learn to link them to opt/local/lib
