Hello,I was wondering if the E3 Flasher is really necessary to buy in order to downgrade a ps3 to 3.55..cause i found a website where you can actually download the file which the E3 Flahser includes...The site is

I don't see the point of buying an E3 flahser if i can just download it.
Please answer asap.I want to know if it's real or fake.Thank you

You need a flasher to downgrade a PS3. Simple. I wish there was a way to download and install but it's not possible. (YET. There's a chance but not in the near future that I see).

Why? Because the PS3 CFW (Custom firmware) is based off of the 3.55 OFW. And since the PS3 can not downgrade you need something to force it into this mode. Hence a flasher is needed

I wouldn't get the E3 flasher though. Depending on the PS3 your chances of it actually working are slim.

and because you said E3 flasher what type of PS3 model are you using? If it's above a cech-25xx your NOT going to be able to hack. And even then the 25xx is an IFFY model.

You use the file with the flasher. You really think the manufacturer of the flasher would have a file on their own website that you could use without the flasher?

I would follow bailey's guide TO THE LETTER(It's in my signiture for now)

BE careful. It's easy to brick one. MAKE SURE YOU GET A BACKUP DUMP! if you don't get a backup dump there's no NO WAY to get back from a brick.

The reason I say not to use the E3 flasher is it's easier to brick your ps3 because of how unreliable they are. they never sit flush lol
