i got to the screen where it say connect control. i didn't found my dongle and connectec the controller. it said i needed to update 4.31 through usb.

then i found my3pgo. i downloaded and updated the dongle first. then i putted in the downgrade.bin into the dongle and then the dongle into the right usb and did the power+eject thing. i saw it went a bit red (loading) then blue (done)

After that i tired to power on my ps3 it just keep going on for a bit then turn off.

I got my nor dump (valid)

what should i do? if i need to reflash the dump do i need to solder or not?

I read somewhere that the ps3 need step 1 file.

please help me. i failed at 1 ps3 already don't want to fail my friends either

you need to solder 1 wire from nor tristate to sbe on ribbon cable to keep the ps3 on and flash your original dump back in flash fun mode(1st switch down rest up)

if you use search you will find good guides in downgrade and flashing forums to unbrick your console. Did you try to turn ps3 on with normal usb in right port with the correct files on? Who's guide are you following

i'm not sure what happens after pushing the PS on controller wen u suppose to pull power, screws it up?!, my guess is that the trigger fsm worked fine and it's normal that it shutsdown in this state, just try "enter" lv2diag.self+355 nocheck pup and see what it does...just guessing otherwise IF the console isn't staying on with either PS3 normal mode or flash fun(switch 1) u must solder the Tristate wire or tape it(yes works...) and flash back the original valid dump

ok thank. i got 1 last question

i did the dump on my ps3 and didn't check it. turned out to be bad dump.

i went so far to the "restore" section of the video guide on youtube. and it bricked.

if i solder it can i still dump and try to get a good dump out of it? or is it somehow overwritten with the bad dump ?

still chances ? what should i do ?

i have my friends dump same model of ps3 and everything, but i think using his dump doesn't work right?


I readead somewhere that partial bad dump can be fixed and reflash? cause from the hex editor i see that my left and bottom blue bar is fine, while the right bar is around 15 in value which should only be 10 or something.

what is nocheck pup? original or modified? well i tried the original file of 355 too and even the rogero and tried too update, but it turn on then off. i see the hdd loads and blink, but it keep shut down in the end. seems like a brick huh ?

i followed the guide of khakato on youtube? got like 400k views or 100k views or something. but i somehow failed at the downgrade dongel.

i got p3go, e3 card reader 3max something.

where do i find the bin file or hex file to turn it into dongle? or any files for the types of dongles at all?

seems like most guide didn't include the files for dongles.

nocheck=Rogero 3.7a...the one u use to do the initial downgrade preventing a brick...then the usual stuff = re-install rogero 3.7>qa_toggle>ofw355>any cfw

sucha easy mistake there...while u had a fsm dongle..flashed the bin to it and seems working fine = red>blue led>ps3 off>enter lvd2diag+rogero 3.7 nochecker>re-install rogero 3.7a via recovery to fill both ROS folders>qaflag>ofw355>any cfw

so nothing on the USB root = updater.log...nothing?
then i'm afraid its a brick yes and if it aint staying on u must restore ur original valid flash

but i'm sure it's normal when doing the downgrade and trigger FSM, if u try to boot the PS3 now it goes OFF..it's normal..correct me if wrong..thx and goodluck ofcourse...

well problem is i mostly deleted it i tried kiind of step 1 so yeah it didn't work and deleted log which is stupid.


one thing i wonder is. when i did the "restore" process which takes quite some time. i did it with the bad dump. (didn't knew you had to check for good dump)

i am going to solder the 2 spot. when the ps3 is on. is it possible to still dump for good dump or is it too late ?

if you 1st dump is bad chances are you have a poor connection with the clip. Reseat the clip and try to take a valid dump. Make sure it is valid before you go any further.

yeah i noticed it after i did the ps3 of my friend. is there any chance to save "My" ps3 ? i read that when you solder and try to dump you may get a good dump and can reflash. any idea on it?

chances are you haven't written over the important info as you never dumped it in the 1st place. But it's 50/50. You need to get a good connection with the clip and try to get a valid dump and take it from there.like @haz367 stated you can tape the wire from nor tristate to sbe to keep the console on.

if i don't remember wrong. there was blinking error that the sd card is not putted on fittely. just got to cross my fingers then.. in the end. need to solder both of the ps3 -_-

the eclipse thing on wiki. can i use it on any dongle too ? it sounds like universal that software. anyone know about it ?
