I didn't know where else to post this, so, I decided to do it here, as I am sure some spam and retarded posts -- such as mine, I guess -- are expected here.

I am on Rogero 4.30 V2, which is spoofed to 4.31. Today after a few days of not doing anything with the PS3, I wanted to play Fifa 13. So I start it up, to see that there's an update. Said update is 1.04. I download and install it, just to find, that now, when I start it, I receive error 8001009. I uninstalled the update, and declined to update it this time, and the game starts.

What is this? New keys? I am not sure that's possible when there isn't a new firmware update. Some new copy protection that needs to be cracked?

Sucks, because I actually bought the game, and wanted to play online.


Just a heads up, if this isn't known already, I guess.

Thank you, I will in a second. Currently updating to Rogero's newest FW.

Will let you know how it worked out by updating this post.

Edit: After downloading and installing the update (and the game not starting), I ran Fix update, and the game worked flawlessly. Game now starts and runs.

@psg so it worked with that fix_update file that rancid gave? oh and you run fifa 13 with disc or discless? and do you think the BDROM in multiman? just wanna ask

I've ripped the disk to external hard drive. I play it with a CoD:Blops2 Bluray in the PS3.

Multiman is set up to use Hermes payload. I use BDEMU option to start the game.

I installed the fix.pkg, then I started the game, downloaded and installed the update. The game didn't start, so I started fix_update, then started the game again, and it worked.

Did Ultimate Team work for you?
Game loads fine for me but ultimate team i get "Loading..." forever.

All I ever do with Fifa is play online against people. But I just started ultimate team, and it downloaded the latest updates. It also seems to be stuck at "Loading..." or at least for the 5 minutes I left it at that.
