I agree with Greg regarding the dongle disease however I knew that it would be a while to get their exclusive features running on my PS3 for free and I have had a Cobra dongle for over a year and a half now and don't regret buying it at all.

Also the money I paid for my dongle (which wasn't much), I consider like a donation to people who are far more advanced in getting my PS3 to do things that I couldn't do, for Cobra only they are welcome to my cash but as I said this was a long time ago and it's probably fair that they release a free version. However along with this "openCobra" talk, it's not happened unfortuntely.

thats right, i have modded my checha00 with this modifkation since years & it work like a charme.

only thing i need is an original ps2 game (japanese region) no need of cobra dongle.

What's the big thing with PS2 backups anyway? I reckon there's more PS2 games out there now than there are games for any other system, full stop. And they're all CHEAP AS CHIPS!

backward compatible consoles for example can not play original ps2 games from other regions.

with a swap mod or swap magic solution it is possible, from backup disc and from hdd via opl, too.
