Hey guys I recently purchased a E3 Flasher to downgrade my PS3 Slim. I read through the Ultimate Fool Proof Guide by baileyscream. I read through it a couple of times and before doing each step read the instructions over a few times. Everything went fine I downgraded the console everything was working fine. I was following the dual boot part of the guide btw. I got to the final stage of installing CFW to the NOR on the E3 Flasher. That went through fine the lights all reached 100%. I then flipped all the switches down to install the latest official fw on the ps3. However got presented with a black screen and would not boot to the firmware at all. I have not hard drive activity neither do I have any power via USB ports. I have tried to hard reset but no luck at all. I have tried many times to make sure there is pressure on the clip and that it is flush against the board but no luck. I saw this guide by Rogero on tortuga-cove would this solve my problem and restore everything back?

do you have (valid) dump?
you bricked your console the only way to unbrick it is to use a valid dump
wait for the pros(baileyscream, playerkp, sarah etc) to help you

I checked the dump using the instructions in the guide. The dump was used to downgrade the PS3 which worked fine

If you used it to downgrade successfully, then the dump is valid.

I have not set up any fast dual boot. I have been meaning to do it on a couple PS3s I have waiting to be sold.

But I do know you need to have the 2 wires soldered correctly.
You need to cut the trace between point A and B.
When switching between OFW and CFW, you need to switch the hard drives, before booting.

I think you should ask your question in the guide, and you will get better support.

Yeah after having a look around the net it is all pointing to soldering the two wires to the tristate and point A. I will give this a try later on today and update the forum on how it went
